CYBER4WOMEN BOOTCAMP
This bootcamp is a collaboration between IBM Skillsbuild and Purpl Unicorn with the aim to encourage more women within CyberSecurity. In this bootcamp you'll gain the foundational knowledge you need to embark on a career in security, as well as insights into what it's like to work in the exciting world of enterprise security. You'll also earn a couple of IBM digital badges,pre-employment training, One-to-One support and opportunities for work experience.
Are there any prerequisites?
These courses don't require any background or experience in IT and were specially curated by professionals however you would require the below characteristics.
- You are an analytical thinker and good problem solver who has computer skills
- You should be committed, highly motivated, and willing to reinvent yourself to participate in this engaging learning plan
- You should be a good communicator and collaborator who is also analytical and loves solving problems.
What will you learn?
- Cyber Security Fundamentals - course designed to help you understand all aspects of security and perform basic security configurations
- Interview preparation includes tips and advice from employers, how to handle difficult interview questions, and the opportunity to do mock interviews
- Information sessions on a variety of themes to facilitate networking, understanding the cyber security industry.

One to One - Individual Career Counsellors
As part of the programme you will have access to Career Counsellors with expertise and wide experience in career advice and job placement, providing one-to-one support sessions on the various steps required in seeking new employment.
Supports include CV and interview preparation, psychometric testing, coaching for interviews as well as working with the participant to source and secure employment.

Eligibility
Participants must first meet three essential criteria in order to be eligible
- Status: Participants must be adults from non-EU states with Stamp 4, Stamp 1G (Spouse/de facto partner of a CSEP holder or, asylum seekers
- Location: Participants must be residing in the Republic of Ireland
- Level of English: Participants should have intermediate to high levels of both written and spoken English. The English language level will be assessed prior to joining the programme
